LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

My idea of giving Gordon a special award was because one day when I went to visit him last summer, Gordon mentioned to me that” he was breeding birds for 73 years”. Therefore, I thought Gordon should be commended for a special award for his dedication to the birds.

Gordon was very active breeder; even though, Gordon had problems walking and his age. When we have our shows Gordon always participated. His son-in-law was helping him with the birds. Also, in Victoria’s shows I was taking his birds over there. Moreover, Gordon was always phoning me after our regular meetings because Gordon wanted to be up to date with our club.

The last time that I talked to Gordon, he was very happy.
Gordon told me “that the award that he received from the VCC was the best award that he has ever received”.  This award meant a lot to Gordon.
